Many events that use our software feature an auction at some point during the day. This is a great way to build connections with donating businesses and the community. It is also a great way to raise some extra money for your charity overall.

In order to accommodate event managers that plan to hold an auction, we have incorporated an Auction Items page that you have the option to display. This could be a very effective way to demonstrate which items will be available on the day of the event. By displaying your items in advance, registrants will be able to prepare, and will come into the auction knowing what they would like to bid on. There is also the option to accept silent bids right from the site. This may be a good option for you as well.

You will see that on the left hand sidebar, we have a page dedicated to Auction Items. The steps are pretty straightforward from here. Once you are on the page, there are some boxes that you can click to indicate the display preferences. Selecting “Display Auction Items Page/Button” will make the page visible on your site. Be sure to save any changes before navigating away from this main page.

If you scroll down a little on the Auction Items page, there is a place to add a text description that will appear above the items. Even further down, you will see the option to “Add New Auction Item”. This is also a straightforward process. Simply fill in the information regarding each item, such as the name, description, image, minimum bid, and bidding increments.
